The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2024/2025 and will be implemented in November 2024 backdated to 1st April 2024 where applicable.
Job overview
This post is a fixed term contract for 2 years, secondment will also be considered, allowing for Part Time study and completion of the course.
This is an opportunity to undertake the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing course Health Visiting full time over an academic year. This post is fully funded by HEIW with the academic study provided by Glyndwr University and the practical placements provided by BCUHB Central area. On successful completion of the course, you will be able to register on part 3 of the NMC register.

Main duties of the job
You will be supernumerary for the duration of the course and allocated a qualified Health Visitor practice supervisor and practice assessor. You will learn all aspects of the (Health Visitor) role whilst undertaking your practical experience within a Health Visiting team in the Central area. You will build up your experience and confidence in practice whilst learning the theoretical aspects of the public health course.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
