Job overview

We are looking to recruit highly motivated, enthusiastic, and suitably qualified Nurse / ODPs for a Scrub Practitioner role within the Gynae and Obstetric theatre team at Glan Clwyd Hospital.

The post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based patient care. Clinical expertise is utilised during all phases of the perioperative period. Skilled assistance is provided in the surgical care of the patient. 

All new starters will be supported via the preceptorship programme that is available within the department and all practitioners are encouraged to participate in the training and development of students and to enable their own personal development.   

The post will include a variety of shifts including lates, nights, weekend shifts and a contribution to the on-call rota.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work collaboratively and co-operatively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, meeting the needs of the patient whilst under no direct supervision. Assist in the management and organisation of clinical and satellite areas, implementing improvements to working practices as identified by audit/clinical trials.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
