Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the  living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until  the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed

 

Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible in approach and efficient individual. This role will provide administrative support to the Theatre Manager & Theatre Team. 

7.5 hour post working over 5 days Monday - Friday.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a range of administrative duties  providing administrative support to the Theatre team.

The post holder must have the ability to work as part of a team to ensure all relevant communications are carried out in a timely and accurate manner. You would be expected to confidently and sensitively handle enquiries from the other members of the organisation both in person and by telephone. We are a fast-paced environment that requires an adaptable individual who can self-refer.

You must have a good standard of education and excellent organisational skills. Previous experience of working within the NHS would be an advantage.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • NVQ3 Business & Administration or equivalent experience
  • GSCE passes in English and Maths, Management Certificate or Office Management Experience
  • Evidence of commitment to ongoing personal development
  • Willingness to undertake training and development as necessary

Experience

Essential criteria
  • To include a full range of secretarial procedures and knowledge to include: Microsoft PowerPoint Microsoft Access Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word
  • Experience of working in a complex organisation providing comprehensive administrative / PA service within a corporate team
  • Experience of setting up and using filing / IT systems in a large organisation
  • In-depth and detailed knowledge and understanding of corporate procedures, the structure, policies, plans, regulations, management and operational procedures of the Organisation
  • Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation packages.
  • Ability to take comprehensive minutes.
