Job overview

The supervision of Domestic Assistants in order to maintain the required standards as set within cleaning specifications. The post holder will be based at Glan Clwyd Hospital, but may be required to also supervise Domestic Services staff in clinics, health centres and hospitals in Community Central which includes community hospitals in Abergele, Rhyl, Denbigh and Ruthin in addition to health centres based throughout Denbighshire and Conwy.

We are offering permanent contracts of employment and have the following post available:

Main duties of the job

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board for enthusiastic, motivated individuals.  The Domestic Services team have responsibility for ensuring that standards of environmental cleanliness are maintained. We are seeking an additional Domestic Supervisor who will have responsibility for making sure that cleaning standards are satisfactory in accordance with our set operational protocols and cleaning frequencies. The Domestic Supervisors have a varied role and this includes allocating duties to Domestic Assistants and auditing their standards of work. The role also involves a degree of administration including maintaining records for Annual Leave and stock of cleaning materials. This is a physically demanding role, the Domestic Supervisors need to be able to demonstrate cleaning tasks during the training of new Domestic Assistants and at times are required to undertake cleaning duties. 

The post will be based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, and the Domestic Supervisors will need to be able to travel to Community Hospitals and Clinics. A shared pool car will be available for this purpose

Previous experience of working within the cleaning industry or as a supervisor will be beneficial Uniform/protective clothing will be provided

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
