Job overview

Band 6 Deputy Unit manager

We are looking to recruit to our dynamic Neonatal Team and would love you to come and join us.

The SuRNICC is the largest neonatal unit in North Wales and supports two Special Care Baby Units in Wrexham and Bangor. We are the focal point of the network of newborn care across North Wales.

The planned spacious, state of the art new building, has 5 intensive care cots, 5 high dependency cots and 9 special care cots, staffed by a highly trained and professional workforce. We provide Consultant led care for sick and preterm infants above 26 weeks gestation from across North Wales and beyond. We also run a 12 hour neonatal transport service and offer superb on site parent accommodation with Ty Croeso.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, dynamic, forward thinking neonatal nurse. We are looking for a highly motivated neonatal Deputy Unit Manager for the new SuRNICC in North Wales. With strong team working skills, you will be able to demonstrate the values that are important to us, communicating well with both colleagues and families. The ability to communicate in Welsh is not essential but would be an advantage.  You should have the vision and ability to help move the service forward, while getting the best out of your colleagues and team and will never compromise on quality always treating others with respect and dignity.
