Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed
Job overview
To provide a comprehensive clerical service and administration support to the Consultants, Registrars and Midwifery Staff.
The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post
Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for answering all telephone calls to the base and directing enquiries to appropriate member of staff.
- To deal pleasantly, efficiently and sympathetically with all telephone calls.
- Prepare any paperwork required prior to any clinics.
- To file signed reports in case notes or forward reports to where case notes are located.
- To ensure the diaries are kept updated and that messages are relayed to the relevant Consultants/Registrars/midwives/maternity support workers.
- Check if there are sufficient identification labels and re-order if necessary.
- Undertake photocopying as required.
- Assist midwives and Consultants to complete relevant documentation for mother and baby.
- Arrange and issue out patient/clinic appointments as required.
- Order stationery stores and top up stock in base areas with relevant stationery on a daily basis, use of ORACLE order systems will be required.
- Assist midwives and Consultants in the collection of routine statistical data.
- Perform general administrative tasks required of the post

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
