Completion of MSc Scientist Training Programme (STP) or equivalent (e.g. BSc in Clinical Physiology or HTEC MPPM with SCST Parts I and II)
Relevant Masters Degree or equivalent – Certified Echocardiographer, holding current British Society of Echocardiography accreditation
Registered with RCCP
ILS

Experience of autonomous scanning and reporting of Echocardiograms post qualification
Able to utilise specialist and technical knowledge of cardiac ultrasound in line with evidence based practice
Able to utilise specialist and technical knowledge of a range of cardiac ultrasound machines / reporting systems

Desirable criteria

Ability to work as an independent practitioner within echocardiography

Knowledge and skills

Essential criteria

Able to perform a broad range of cardiological techniques employed within the department
Ability to utilise wide, thorough and up-to-date specialist postgraduate level knowledge across the full range of cardiac physiology investigations including advanced techniques such as Stress echocardiography and Tissue Doppler

Desirable criteria

Be highly specialised in a full range of echocardiography procedures, including stress echocardiography, contrast or TOE
Ability to speak Welsh

This offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in the dietetic education at the University of Nottingham and would be suitable for candidates with prior experience in higher education or practicing Dietitians who wish to embark on such a career. Applications are particularly welcome from those who have recent experience of working in public health or associated areas.

The post is based within the Division of Food, Nutrition and Dietetics in the School of Biosciences. The School offers a four-year integrated undergraduate Master’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition (MNutr) leading to eligibility to apply for registration in dietetics with the Health and Care Professions Council. The Division also delivers other Nutrition-related degrees, including a three-year BSc degree in Nutrition, which has been accredited by the Association for Nutrition, and a BSc in Food Sciences and Nutrition. In addition, we also offer a MSc in Clinical Nutrition, as well as MSc in Nutritional Sciences.

The successful candidate will be expected to predominantly contribute to the teaching and related administration of a number of modules within the programmes associated with our dietetics associated degrees, but they will also make contributions to our nutrition-related degrees.

Current registration as a Dietitian in the UK (or be eligible for such registration) is an essential requirement for the role. A postgraduate qualification in teaching (or equivalent) and/or a higher degree (PhD or Masters) in dietetics or healthcare management are desirable.

This is a full time (36.25 hours), permanent position. Job share arrangements may be considered.

Working as part of a wider team of Clinical Psychologists in Crisis you will be an integral part of the local Skylight team, leading on psychologically informed practice and delivery of psychological services.

This role brings a real opportunity to be creative and flexible in our approach to working psychologically with people who face multiple disadvantages, and to support the staff teams via training and reflective practice. There are opportunities to provide direct support as well as working extensively with local teams and other parts of the organisation to influence policy and practice developments.

We are looking for someone with post qualification experience of working within complex systems and you may have direct experience of working with people who experience homelessness. As we have grown as a service, the team is also able to support more newly qualified Psychologists via our preceptorship program, and so we are pleased to also offer this as a development post.
