Job overview
An accurate, confidential and supportive administration service for patients, clinical teams, carers and internal and external agencies (e.g. Local Authority, Third Sector,) in order to: Provide a safe and efficient patient pathway and provide information and appropriate support to families and carers
The post holder will ensure the delivery of a comprehensive high quality Booking service to the patients, ensuring robust management of RTT and booking and ensure support to ensure that the secretarial and administrative service is provided to the consultants/ doctors and junior medical team and specialist nursing teams along with other health professionals.
The post holder will be responsible for the guidance and direction of the team dealing with appropriate day to day issues to oversee the smooth running of the department and providing support to the line manager.
The post holder will be responsible for the management of the waiting lists and ensuring adherence to the RTT booking rules.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is a senior member of the admin/ booking and medical secretarial team providing an expert administration service to the clinical specialty and its associated work streams. The post holder will support the consultants, junior medical staff and other health professionals with the creation of best practice and processes, supporting diary management, co-ordination of workload and of appointments and admission related information for patients and carers.
The post holder will monitor and review patient forms /details and items pending further action, to ensure that outstanding responses and information are finalised.
Collect and collate information relevant to the patient and the service, for example waiting times, RTT, DNA/CNA statistics, backlog and length of stays as well as delayed transfers of care and will report on statistics as directed by the line manager.
The post holder will monitor waiting lists and provide an efficient effective booking service to the patients.

- Extensive knowledge of WPAS, WCP, and RTT

- Experience in a variety of administration, majority and variety of experience should be non-routine
