The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2024/2025 and will be implemented in November 2024 backdated to 1st April 2024 where applicable.
Job overview
As a stores laboratory support worker in blood Sciences the post holder is working under supervision of qualified scientists for the delegated tasks required for the delivery of a fit-for-purpose, 24/7 medical laboratory service analysing and reporting on blood, urine, faeces and other body materials to achieve the objectives of efficient and effective patient care, and effective resource management within the hospital.
Main duties of the job
As part of our ongoing service , the Blood Sciences Department in Ysbyty Gwynedd is looking to appoint 1 PART TIME band 3 Medical Laboratory Stores Assistant.
This is a key role in the organisation, complementing the expertise of other experienced Scientists & Science Assistants and will be part of a fast paced laboratory diagnostics service.
The successful candidate will need a basic knowledge of laboratory services and be able to demonstrate a capacity to learn and develop with a drive to deliver an excellent service for the benefit of the community we serve; committed to ensuring that our patients are at the heart of everything we do.
With strong team working skills, you will be able to demonstrate the values that are important to us, communicating well; working supportively with colleagues; focusing on delivering a quality service and treating others with respect and dignity.
