Job overview
We are looking for a domestic assistant for our Private Ward located on the 15th Floor or Charing Cross Hospital
The main key duties for the role will be:
- Maintaining high standard of cleanliness.
- Be organised and clean, following Health & Safety and infection control and prevention procedures.
- Work as a team player, assisting others when required.
- Ability to work to high standard when unsupervised.
Main duties of the job
- You will be required to use chemicals and handle cleaning equipment responsibly, and within health and safety guidelines.
- You will be responsible for maintaining patient, staff and public safety through appropriate use of warning signage whilst cleaning.
- You are required to work on their own or as part of a team to deliver services as directed by policies, procedures and national standards which are monitored by supervisory staff.
- You will need to have a friendly and helpful manner and have a sensitive approach when dealing with patients and their families.
- We are looking for candidates who have good communication skills and have a caring attitude.

- GCSE English or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- NVQ Healthcare support services, BICSc CPSS
Experience

- Working within a cleaning team, dealing with waste, smells, bodily excretions and dirt
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of working with domestic services, other hotel services or health care
- Previous experience in a customer facing role
Skills/Knowledge/ Abilities

- Ability to respond well in all situations
- Ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
- Ability to apply a systematic approach when tackling problems and finding solutions
