We are looking for an Aortic Surgical Fellow [Vascular surgery] to complement our middle grade rota. The successful candidate will be fully engaged with all aspects of open and endovascular aortic surgery. Through the complex aortic MDT they will be exposed to aortic surgical care across the whole thoracic and abdominal aorta. We are looking for an experienced vascular surgeon looking to broaden their complex aortic experience and work in a high volume tertiary referral unit.

We currently run 7 all-day theatre lists through our Hybrid lab and standard operating theatres. The role will be based primarily at the hub of the Network at Southampton General Hospital but may also require travel to the other units within the region.
It would be expected that the successful candidate would be involved in 10 aortic cases/month. They would also be encouraged to participate in the broad spectrum of collaborative vascular surgery performed at UHS with the cancer and orthopaedic specialities.
