Physiotherapist Community Rotation

Band 5

Job overview

Are you an enthusiastic, motivated Band 5 Physiotherapist, newly qualified or looking to progress and build further knowledge and skills in a community setting?

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit a Full Time rotational Junior Physiotherapist to join our Community Therapy Team in Guildford and Waverley. The rotations currently are MSK out-patients, In-patients (sub-acute ortho-geriatric, frailty), and Community Therapy Team, who see both urgent and general rehabilitation, including patients with neurological impairments. You will be part of a friendly and experienced team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, PTAs and Community Rehabilitation Assistants. You need to be a good team player, organised and motivated with a caring and compassionate attitude. You must be willing to learn to use IT applications to carry out this job effectively. You will need to be able to travel independently between sites and to patients’ homes.

Working for our organisation

Royal Surrey is a compassionate and collaborative acute and community Trust. Recognising that our 5000 colleagues are our greatest strength, we offer a comprehensive health and wellbeing program along with a commitment to developing and advancing your career. Our diverse and welcoming Royal Surrey family will ensure you that you feel valued from your initial interview through your entire tenure.

We are clinically led and provide joined up care by bridging the gap between hospital and community services alongside regional specialist cancer care. Our main acute hospital site is in Guildford with community hospital sites at Milford, Haslemere and Cranleigh. We provide adult community health services in homes across Guildford and Waverley.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) have given us an overall rating of Outstanding.

Royal Surrey has a strong reputation and history to build on. We are proud of our achievements and we are investing in our colleagues through our commitment to supporting professional development as well as investing more than £45 million in our physical environment and new equipment in the next few years. There has never been a better time to join us.

Although it isn't the Trusts normal practice, adverts may close early, so you are encouraged to submit an application as soon as possible.

We work closely alongside other community services from health, social and voluntary sectors to provide the best service to enable patients to have the best possible quality of life for each individual.

The post holders will have Professional responsibility for themselves and those who they supervise. They will be expected to contribute to the on-going development of clinical practice, standards, research, as well as policies, protocols, guidelines and service development.
