The Directorate has teams in London and Leeds. You will be required to attend the London office on a regular basis.

DHSC has a hybrid way of working. You will be expected to attend the office for more than 60% of your working time subject to the capacity of individual buildings, there is no upper limit on the number of days of attending offices and this should be driven by business need.

The Deputy Director for Strategy and Strategic Finance (SISF) provides strategic direction and leadership across the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and helps to bring coherence across the health and social care system. The successful candidate will report to the Director for Ministers, Accountability and Strategy and make decisions on matters inclusive of resources, budgets, corporate matters, and policy.

You will also oversee the development and delivery of Secretary of State and departmental priorities, relationships with stakeholders (including NHS England, HM Treasury and No.10), and major spending settlements for health.
