To provide a high standard of individualised patient care to all patients attending the Gynaecology Outpatients at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. To ensure that care is evidence based and patient centered. The post holder will assist in the management and organisation of the nursing service within the Outpatient areas including the teaching and management of more junior staff or those in training.
Main duties of the job
Providing nursing care, support and clinical function to women attending Outpatients 1 and Early Pregnancy Unit. Supporting nursing care within colposcopy and hysteroscopy services. The organization and running of outpatients clinics and supporting benign gynaecology services. Being a patient advocate and provide support for patients’ medical, social and psychological needs whilst attending the Outpatient areas.

Gynaecology Outpatients Nurse
Band 5
Monday to Friday only
Full time and Part time hours available
The Royal Surrey Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an enthusiastic, motivated Band 5 Nurse to join their Outpatients Gynaecology team.
Are you are a nurse with an interest in gynaecology and outpatient gynaecology procedures?
Are you able to meet the challenge of delivering high standards of care in a busy outpatients setting, ensuring that each person’s journey is an individualised experience?
You will support the gynaecology consultant clinics, colposcopy and hysteroscopy services and enhanced recovery pathways preparing women for gynaecology surgery.
Gynaecology experience is not required as training will be given and there will be opportunities for future development. We welcome applications from newly qualified staff nurses
You must hold UK NMC midwifery registration to be considered for shortlisting
You will be expected to be able to show evidence of current practice/updating.
