Main duties of the job

Duties of the post include clinical management of cardiothoracic surgical patients in the ward, theatre, cardiac ITU, and outpatient environments.

Successful applicants will be supported within the department by nurse practitioners, middle grade fellows and Specialist Registrars. While these posts will not be recognised for postgraduate training, they will take place in a teaching environment with operative exposure, supported by weekly local teaching, monthly regional programme, wet labs and ward-based development.
