This dynamic high profile team is at the forefront of pathway redesign and takes the lead in case management and discharge planning of elective and trauma patients. The Royal Surrey is a Trauma Unit and the Physiotherapists lead with the management and fitting of hard collars and other spinal orthoses. In addition to this we have routine elective surgery, as well as an Orthogeriatric led fracture neck of femur service. Patients are seen initially within the acute Trust and then moved to a subacute site for further rehabilitation.
There is a requirement for flexible working as the service operates over 7 days and bank holidays on a roster system.
