Salary: Competitive starting salary range from £37,631 up to £42,943 per annum (dependent upon experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered

The School delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and post graduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings including nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, paramedic science, operating department practice, diagnostic radiography, clinical psychology and public health. As we continue to develop our Dietetic provision we are seeking an innovative and partnership focused Dietician to join our Team.
The Role
As Teaching Fellow in Dietetics you will undertake teaching and course co-ordination with a focus on supporting the course directors. You will work as part of the course team in the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs including apprenticeship routes ensuring learners have an effective learning experience. All Senior Teaching Fellows lead on aspects of the learning experience including the leadership of staff teams.
Based within the School of Health and Care you will work with and lead other academic colleagues to enrich learning and teaching experience to ensure, as appropriate, relevant aspects of research, enterprise and professional context are embedded in modules and courses.
Duties include:
- Lead the curation, adaptation, design and development of module and course teaching materials including Curriculum development.
- Contributing to the leadership of our pre-registration courses
- Contributing to the effective delivery of BSc and MSc provision
- Partnership working with NHS, Statutory and Independent Providers

Qualifications Required
- Master’s degree in appropriate subject or Honours Degree with appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
- HCPC registrant or equivalent Nutritionist registration
- A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one
- Active membership of an appropriate professional body

You will need to be a HCPC registered Dietitian or qualified Nutritionist as well as having a successful track record of teaching, learning and assessment practice, with evidence of supporting practice based learning within your work-place.
You will be highly motivated, joining the Allied Health Professions Development team supporting the School’s vision and ambitions as a leading provider of high quality health and care education. You will collaborate across Allied Health Profession curriculum areas to support the effective delivery of high-quality courses and promote excellence in learner experience.
