The Role

As a Senior Teaching Fellow (Clinical Tutor) in Clinical Psychology you will play a key role in delivering engaging and interactive teaching and tutorials, ensuring students are both challenged and supported throughout their journey. You’ll actively contribute to the creation of course materials, assessments, and the development of our cutting-edge programme, shaping the future of clinical psychology education.

You will have the opportunity to lead and oversee modules, providing insightful feedback and marking assignments to uphold our high academic standards. Your guidance will extend beyond the classroom, offering individual and group supervision to trainees while providing mentorship that fosters both academic and professional growth.

In addition to supporting our students in their clinical placements, you’ll collaborate closely with placement supervisors and be involved in the planning and development of these essential experiences. You will also contribute to the training of future supervisors, helping them to deliver the best possible clinical learning environments.

The School delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and post-graduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings, alongside a large portfolio of CPD courses, with several bases throughout the UK, and numerous international partnerships.

Qualifications required

·       A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) or equivalent

·       Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist

·       A teaching qualification or extensive experience of delivering professional and/or university education 

·       Expertise in any specialty or theoretical model will be considered, with additional accreditations or certifications being advantageous. 

Our Successful Candidate

You will be an experienced clinical psychologist with a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of health and social care professionals.

We’re looking for a candidate with a broad range of clinical experience, alongside a proven track record in teaching or supervising clinical psychology trainees. You’ll bring expertise in doctoral-level clinical supervision or research, paired with exceptional communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong digital fluency, with experience in creating and delivering engaging teaching materials across multiple media platforms. If you’re enthusiastic about empowering people’s lives you’ll thrive in this role, where your deep knowledge of psychological therapies and clinical practice will make a real difference.
