The post holder will work within the multi-disciplinary team to provide assessment, treatment and support discharge planning. LYPFT utilises the Model of Human Occupation framework to inform the overall assessment and formulate recovery plans for those within the service. Effective MDT clinical leadership drives the service and aspires to equip clinicians with a versatile and comprehensive skillset in order to provide compassionate and therapeutic care. The role of occupation is recognised and valued on the ward. The assessments and interventions provided by Occupational Therapists are an important part of this therapeutic offer, provided both individually and in groups. You will bring your knowledge, skills and experience to effectively plan and support effective transfers to the community. Successful candidates will be offered structured supervision, appraisal and opportunities for professional development within the workplace.

We recruit people based on their values and qualifications (where required) and believe that their lived experience is an advantage, this means that together we are as diverse as the communities we care for. Simply put, when we employ caring people who act with integrity and have the right skills, we can give those with mental health challenges, learning disabilities and neurodiversity high-quality care and support to live fulfilling lives, and make our staff feel purposeful, happy and valued.
