Job overview
We are looking for a learning disability nurse who will join our multi-disciplinary team and help to make a difference to the quality of life for people with learning disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of people with many diverse and complex needs. This is a great opportunity to work in the community providing you with a unique opportunity to develop and learn within the learning disability service.
You may be newly qualified or already be a learning disability nurse working with people with a learning disability and are looking to take the next step into a community multi-disciplinary team, looking for a new challenge. Then why not contact us if you are ready for a new challenge.
You will be expected to do some of your visits remotely & face-to-face, working in a multi-disciplinary team approach, including working with private care providers and families. The ability to educate and influence is therefore essential.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a senior nurse within the learning disability team to provide specialist health assessments, interventions and advice to adults and young people in transition who have learning disabilities, their carers and other professionals.
You will be required to maintain professional responsibility and accountability under the clinical and managerial guidance of the senior nurse.
