We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, hardworking housekeeper to join our team who will work across neonatal services. You will be an integral part of the team ensuring a clean, safe environment for our families at all times. Due to our expansion we are looking to expand the housekeeping team who will work across neonatal intensive care and our brand new woodland ward special care baby unit.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
1. Assist in monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards, ensuring the thorough cleanliness of the ward and family facilities
2. Ensure general and specialist equipment are cleaned as per hospital policy (e.g. incubators, overhead cots etc).
3. supporting the clinical team with stocking up, washing baby clothes and sheets, general tidying and cleaning of the family and staff areas.
3. Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work under non-direct supervision.
4. Have a flexible approach within this role and be able to respond appropriately to the demands of an everchanging workload.
5. Requirement to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends on a rota system.
Person specification
Qualifications, knowledge and experience
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to work towards
- Customer Service experience
- Demonstrate ability to work autonomously
Desirable criteria
- Previous Housekeeping experience
- Knowledge of, or training in, manual handling techniques
- Understanding of, or training in, COSHH
