An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our excellent neonatal team here at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT) our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is one of the biggest and busiest Level 2 units in London, we care for babies born at 27 weeks gestation and take pride in providing the perfect environment in which these tiny neonates can grow, thrive and develop.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated, flexible, hardworking, positive thinking Neonatal Qualified In Speciality  Nurse  to join in Neonatal Community team to assist /give high-quality of  care  and promote  care for all our babies and their families.

The Community Neonatal Nurse will use their specialist knowledge and experience to promote the continuity of care for the preterm and sick infant from hospital to community services. This includes the assessment, planning, development and implementation of care plans in conjunction with family/carers.

We operate from two main sites - King George Hospital (KGH) in Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital in Romford. We have two of the busiest emergency departments in London – more than 300,000 people visited our A&Es in 2023.

Patients across north east London are benefitting from two new state of the art theatres at KGH and our Community Diagnostic Centres at Barking Community Hospital and St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub will significantly increase the number of scans that can be carried out.

We’re looking forward to introducing an electronic patient record next year. This will mean the records of any patient visiting one of the seven hospitals run by BHRUT and Barts Health will be accessible to the clinical teams. It’ll make things easier for staff and will be better for patients.
