A permanent, part-time vacancy has arisen for a Band 4 Administrator in Nuclear Medicine Physics, based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford.  The post is offered at 0.6WTE (equivalent to 3 days per week), but the working pattern is flexible and could be adapted to meet your needs.

You will be providing administrative support to our team of dynamic and friendly physicists who provide scientific support to the Royal Surrey County Hospital, five regional Nuclear Medicine Departments and a number of private clients.  At the Royal Surrey the Physics team provides scientific support to the Nuclear Medicine diagnostic imaging service, as well as running a comprehensive and busy Molecular Radiotherapy clinical service.  We also provide Medical Physics services other local NHS Trusts and private providers of diagnostic imaging and Molecular Radiotherapy locally through external contracts. 

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, professional and have a high attention to detail. You will bring a diverse range of skills to help manage complex patient therapy pathways, which will include making patient appointment bookings, coordinating staff availability for procedures, and liaising with other departments involved in the pathway.  You will also provide administrative support to our commercial contracts.

This post is a key administrative role in the Nuclear Medicine Physics Section.  The post requires the ability to prioritise various competing demands for time, to work without direct supervision, and to liaise with many levels of staff and organisations both inside and outside the NHS.  The main responsibilities are:
•    To assist in patient booking, clinic coordination, data collection, KPI tracking, and purchasing relating to Molecular Radiotherapy patient pathways.  This will include liaising with Nuclear Medicine Consultants, Nursing and Imaging staff as appropriate.
•    Liaise with other Trusts, commercial clients and suppliers to coordinate Medical Physics service visits, equipment testing, and meetings as part of our section’s external contracts
•    To assist in the management of contracts including invoicing

The Nuclear Medicine Physics section is part of the Medical Physics department within the Oncology Division, and is responsible for the clinical delivery of the Molecular Radiotherapy service, and also provides Medical Physics Expert services to the St Luke’s Cancer Centre at the Royal Surrey County Hospital and to a number of other local NHS Trusts and private clients.   

The post holder will provide administrative support for our Molecular Radiotherapy clinical pathways, ensuring these are coordinated efficiently and effectively.  The role will also involve carrying out diverse administration tasks to support the team’s Service Level Agreements with other Trusts and commercial clients.
