Join our expanded Clinical Governance and Performance team and lead the design, planning, development and delivery of contemporary clinical governance frameworks for the North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS). We are working to review and improve the clinical governance tools and practices for a very large and complex health care organisation towards our Vision of being a transformative leader, shaping the future of healthcare. North Metropolitan Health Service - Vision and Values.

This vacancy is for Permanent Full-Time appointment. Fixed Term appointment may be considered to suit an individual’s personal circumstances, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

What is our Manager Clinical Governance and Performance role?

As Manager Clinical Governance and Performance, you will lead and develop a highly capable team to:

  • Review and refresh the NMHS Clinical Governance Framework ensuring ‘Board to floor’ connectivity;
  • Design and implement a centralised approach to accreditation preparedness to support NMHS sites and services with assessment against the relevant standards;
  • Explore innovative approaches to clinical incident management ensuring contemporary and sustainable processes are promoted and embedded across NMHS;
  • Collaborate with the Business and Performance directorate to implement new safety and quality reporting using the principles of ‘Making Data Count’ from the NHS; and
  • Coordinate the approach to monitoring and oversight of safety and quality indicators for contracted clinical services managed by NMHS.

Our work spans from moments of blue ocean problem-solving to hyper focus on the small print – each day brings new challenges and opportunities. The scale and breadth of our services is extraordinary – just like the people we work with. North Metropolitan Health Service - Hospitals and Community Services

While your qualifications and experience tell us part of your story, your values and attitude speak louder still. This role is all about people, and at NMHS, we aim to ensure our behaviours reflect our core values: Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork and Integrity.
