Cat 1 Driving Licence - Ambulance Preparation Operative

As an Ambulance Preparation Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our ambulances are well-prepared and equipped to provide prompt and efficient emergency medical services.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize ambulances after each use to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
  • Stock ambulances with necessary medical supplies and equipment, ensuring they are readily available for emergency situations
  • Inspect and maintain ambulance equipment, including oxygen tanks, defibrillators, and stretchers, to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Keep accurate records of all supplies and equipment in ambulances, monitoring and replenishing as needed

 

  • Follow strict protocols and procedures to handle hazardous materials safely and dispose of them appropriately
  • Collaborate with the transport team to ensure smooth handover of incoming and outgoing ambulances
  • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the ambulance garage and storage areas

Requirements

  • No Experience necessary, full training provided!
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision under pressure
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
  • Valid C1 driver's licence – This is essential to enable you the ability to drive the emergency service vehicles at Make Ready Sites
  • A basic DBS check will be required for the role – this will be actioned by Churchill
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays -
  • Shift start times are typically 6am or 6pm - shifts can vary 12, 8 or 6 hours
  • Either Full Time 40.5 week or zero hours contract to provide cover Sickness and Holiday.
