We’re seeking a dedicated therapist to join our thriving mental health support team. As a CAMHS CBT supervisor, you’ll provide individual supervision for qualified CYP/CBT therapists, contribute to CPD planning, overviewing and developing therapists clinical work and collaborating in clinical team meetings. Your role extends beyond supervision though ensuring safe, professional practice, adherence to guidelines, whilst managing your own small caseload. You will build relations with the clinical leadership team in developing innovative positive clinical change, and helping the service achieve excellent client care and assist in development of the clinical supervision strategy for the service.

Our mental health support team provides a wide range of mental health services to support the NHS and local authorities across the UK. Our goal is to make sure everyone gets the help they need quickly and easily. We provide people with adult digital mental health support, children and young people digital mental health support, group mental health support and mental health assessments. Our digital therapy service for young people, aged 5–25. Our platform offers remote counselling and therapy sessions that fit around our patients schedules, allowing them to access fully flexible support.

 

Everyday you will...

  • Provide caseload oversight of each supervisee including reviewing clinical outcomes and client experience being an escalation point for all complex and urgent cases
  • Manage supervision sessions, booking them in on the system and ensuring notes from that supervision are recorded in a timely manner whilst recording and reporting risk and safeguarding issues as appropriate
  • Contribute to the development of the clinical supervision strategy and ongoing development of the CPD programme across the service.
  • Provide CBT to your own caseload (Max. 5 at one time).
  • Cover duty rota for clinical queries one evening a week until 8pm and attending clinical liaison meetings with referring services.
  • Take the lead on specific clinical service improvements in collaboration the team to ensure effective delivery of evidence based assessment and treatment.

To thrive in this role, you must ideally have...

  • Full BABCP accreditation
  • PGDip/MA in Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT)
  • Evidence of undertaking CPD in relation to CBT for CYPs
  • Experience in managerial/clinical supervision of others casework with proven supervisory skills, particularly in an IAPT context.
  • Theoretical knowledge of CBT/Therapies and extensive experience in the application of appropriate models of practice, according to client need.
  • Good understanding and commitment to the CAMHS transformation agenda
