Berkshire Healthcare are seeking an individual to be based at St. Marks Hospital in Maidenhead, the post requires the individual to manufacture a range of insoles and orthotic devices including bespoke orthoses as prescribed by Podiatrists and to fit these devices should the need arise to patients. The candidate would be responsible for the day to day running of the orthotics workshop/lab including stock ordering and data collection. The post also means the individual will be responsible for maintaining equipment as per departmental policy and keep a clean, tidy and safe environment. 

The successful candidates will need to have excellent communications skills, be organised and flexible and be able to demonstrate their ability to work on their own as well as in collaboration with other

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  • To manufacture a range of insoles and orthotic devices including semi-bespoke orthoses as prescribed by Podiatrists. 
  • To be responsible for the day to day running of the orthotics lab including stock monitoring, ordering and data collection.  
  • To maintain equipment as per departmental policy and keep a clean and tidy environment. 
  • To develop skill and competence in the manufacturing of insoles and orthotics as prescribed by the podiatrist.  
  • Modification of orthoses and other devices as per instruction by podiatrist   
  • The ability to troubleshoot orthotic problems and either solve them or else recognise when a patient needs to be referred to the podiatrist. 
  • Open communication with all staff regarding production and provision of orthotics when required.
