Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working person who would enjoy working within a team and are keen to learn new skills.

There is a requirement for flexible working as the service operates over 7 days and bank holidays. 

No previous experience is required although previous experience in a health care setting is desirable. Training and support will be provided to help you develop relevant skills. Applicants must also have good written and spoken English.

Work permits are not available for this position.

Main duties of the job

This job will involve working closely with the Physiotherapists treating a variety of conditions in Orthopaedics, Neurology, Elderly Care, Medicine, Oncology and Surgery, as well as providing administrative support as necessary.

A rotational post assisting the qualified physiotherapy staff in delivering a high quality and effective Physiotherapy service, following appropriate training and competency assessment.

A rotational post assisting the qualified physiotherapy staff in delivering a high quality and effective Physiotherapy service, following appropriate training and competency assessment.  Issue and checking of equipment within rotatory area.  Treatment of patients as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Maths and English GCSE to adequate level or equivalent.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Willing to undertake a core competency training programme as soon as possible following appointment which must be passed - equivalent to 2 weeks full time study.
  • Be aware of the implications of confidentiality.
  • Willing to undertake specific competency training on each rotation.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working within a care setting.
  • Experience of working within a team.
  • Experience and knowledge of undertaking stock reviews.
