Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Project Management Team in the NIHR Clinical Research Facility. You will join a team of enthusiastic individuals who support the delivery of clinical research within the facility. You will be responsible for delivering a range of services to the Clinical Research Facility including setting up clinical trials, trial coordination, data management and database training.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

 - To support local investigators and research nurses with the study set up in the NIHR CRF
 - To be a main point of contact for study sponsors and organise site initiation visits and monitoring visits
 -  To lead study recruitment for assigned studies, this includes the development of recruitment strategy, conducting recruitment activities to ensure that the trials are recruited on time and target

 - You must be motivated to work within research and have exceptional attention to detail
 - You will be required to work autonomously and as part of a larger team
 - You must be able to prioritise tasks and cope with deadlines

Qualifications / training required

Essential criteria
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

Previous or relevant experience necessary

Essential criteria
  • Research background
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft applications for managing and analysing information, e.g. Word and Excel
  • Relevant experience in conducting or organising research
  • Awareness of current legislation regarding research governance issues
  • ICH/GCP Trained
Desirable criteria
  • Healthcare background
  • Recent NHS experience
