We are now looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join us in West Aberdeenshire on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Role

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will support the delivery of health and wellbeing interventions as part of our residential rehabilitation service in West Aberdeenshire.

You’ll deliver responsive mental health interventions, including detoxification from drugs, alcohol and harm reduction. Identifying individual needs by undertaking risk assessments, you will implement appropriate aftercare plans and ongoing recovery planning tools.

Overseeing day-to-day clinical practices, you will support management and frontline staff to deliver trauma-informed services in line with best practice guidelines, regulatory standards and clinical policies and procedures.

Additionally, you will:

- Develop therapeutic relationships with clients to support their individual recovery journeys
- Provide training and guidance to frontline staff and managers in relation to clinical procedures
- Respond to clinical and medical emergencies, managing crises as first line intervention
- Undertake audits of service quality and clinical practice
- Facilitate therapeutic groups and meetings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and produce clinical and management reports

About You

To be considered as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will need:

- To be a registered nurse with at least three years’ post-qualification experience
- A current and valid registration with the NMC
- Demonstrable experience or interest in the addiction field
- Demonstrable knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions
- Administrative skills
