An opportunity has arisen for experienced and motivated nursery nurses to join the Health Visiting Team in the Inner London.
The Inner London Boroughs are very diverse and our Health Visitors lead committed dedicated and experienced skill mix teams for children aged between 0-5 years.
We are searching for nursery nurses who have experience of working within early year’s settings or the health service, and are skilled in communicating with professionals and clients from a wide variety of backgrounds.
The successful candidate must be up to date in child development, enthusiastic, motivated, with good time management skills and able to work independently and as part of the clinical team supporting the Health Visiting Service with the 0-5 caseloads and their families as delegated by the health visitor.

You will participate in the delivery of The Healthy Child Programme and be expected to work in various community settings including the homes of families. The post holder will be a key member of the 0-19 team, with the responsibility for providing an efficient and high quality Clinical support within the health visiting and school nursing teams. You will assist in or carry out, clinical interventions as part of the Healthy Child programme, as delegated by the Health Visitor.
You will advise parents on positive parenting skills including understanding and managing child behaviour, weaning and nutrition, play and stimulation, speech and language development, sleep management and toilet training, ensuring that advice is evidence based to facilitate school readiness.
In return, Universal Children’s Services will support the post holder with appropriate training and professional development opportunities.

- N.N.E.B./ BTEC Diploma in Child Care or NVQ in Child Care level 3 or equivalent

- Educated to Diploma level in a health-related subject.
Experience

- Experience of working with children and families in a formal health, educational or social care setting
- Evidence of ongoing training in Early Years
- Experience of working as a team member and on own

Skills

- IT skills including Word, Excel.
