8b post in the Complex Psychosis Pathway
The Rehab and Recovery service are inviting applications from Clinical Psychologists who have a strong interest in specialising in working with people with distressing unusual experiences. You will be a key member of the leadership team working with the management team to implement psychological strategy across the service area. 
You will be working alongside an 8c Consultant Clinical Psychologist across R&R at a time when the service is implementing service development and culture change in the form of a trauma informed clinical model. You will have experience and a critical understanding of current practice, and the evidence base in psychosis with skills and experience in training, project work, supervision, with knowledge and skills in CBTp and/or a strong interest in developing psychological interventions for cognitive impairment in psychosis. You will gain experience in working within a multi – agency context, across three clinical teams that value psychological influence.

The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country. The Rehabilitation and Recovery service is an exciting service that uses a stepped approach to our inpatient care and has the additional resource of a transitional in-reach and outreach team based at The Recovery Centre.

The service design focusses heavily on multidisciplinary and multi-agency team working with the service being made up of staff members from LYPFT, Community Links, Leeds Mind and Touchstone - all working in partnership under a managed network, within LYPFT.  The service aims:

  •  To provide rehabilitation and recovery - based services that enable people to define, build and live a meaningful, independent and satisfying life.

The service is established on strong principles of recovery and partnership working and all candidates must have strong values around recovery, social inclusion, and diversity.

The Service was Royal College of Psychiatry Quality Standards Accredited in March 2024, which is a recognition of the high - quality care delivered by our diverse workforce to the people we serve.   • 1. Doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology/or at least Masters level in Forensic Psychology (or equivalent prior to 1996) and HCPC registration
  • 2. Additional significant post qualification training and experience relevant to the service and job role outlined in the job summary, including assessment of risk.
