We are seeking a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist to provide clinical leadership and psychiatric expertise to our PCN based multidisciplinary integrated community mental health team. The successful applicant will be based in in the Grand Union Village Integrated Mental Health Team (MINT) in Ealing.

This is an adult community mental health team working with adults (18-70) with the most complex mental illnesses as well as giving advice and guidance to GPs for those with less complex needs. This post is supported by junior doctor posts and an extended multi-disciplinary team including pharmacy, nursing, psychology, OT, link and peer workers. This is a large team with 3 whole time Consultant Psychiatrists who each provide direct care to one primary care network (neighbourhood of around 6-8 GP practices) although work together to support across the team as needed.

Main duties of the job

This will involve direct assessment and clinical consultation, supporting the MDT and some emergency care as required. Most will be clinic based but home visits are occasionally required. Alongside this the role involves consultation/liaison with GPs and other clinical and community services.

You must have full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register, with an appropriate CCT or equivalent or be within six months of obtaining your CCT on the date of the AAC. We would be delighted to discuss flexible opportunities if you are looking for less than full-time hours or a flexible approach to building your next role.
