Detailed job description and main responsibilities

This post holder will be there to supervise and steer the team based at our Warehouse in Eastleigh. The responsibilities of this role include but not limited to;

  • The Supervisor is responsible for the Goods Inwards process, receipting, storage, consumable kit picking and onward delivery service to the relevant Hospital.
  • Goods In: day-to-day responsibility for the Goods In team who; sign for deliveries, checks, for accuracy, packing, sorting and booking into our financial system (Oracle). Raising stock issues with suppliers directly and recording actions.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day driving/delivery activity: UEL has its vehicle (3.5 tonnes) to transport items between the Warehouse and the relevant hospital.  On arrival at the hospital, the items need to be safely handed over to the UEL team based there. • Warehouse: support the team with the increased Warehouse activity including picking (both bulk and consumable kits), accurate stock holding and cleanliness along with other general Warehouse activities.

Each day will vary, often switching between tasks throughout the day to meet the demands. Including recognising when others around you need support and being there to provide it. Being a new role, we will learn and adapt what we do each day to become as effective as we can.
