Job overview
Due to retirements a number of exciting opportunities have arisen within the Older Adult Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Directorate for a Team Manager for Ty Garngoch Secondary Care Community Mental Health Team covering Area 3&4 in Swansea, a Team Manager for Westfa Primary Care Community Mental Health Team covering Area 1&2 in Swansea, a Team Manager for Cwmbwrla Secondary Care Community Mental Health Team covering Area 1&2 of Swansea and a Team Manager for Port Talbot Community Mental Health Team.
The successful candidate will need to be energised, dynamic and can evidence they can develop and lead a service to in order meet the needs of people requiring mental health care.
Main duties of the job
The Team Manager will take responsibility for the delivery and management of the health staff within the CMHT. The team manager will have overall accountability and responsibility for the direct delivery of care within their designated area.
The Team Manager will be responsible for providing line management and supervision of registered and unregistered staff within the context of a multi-disciplinary service. The manager will support staff to deliver evidence based mental health care to clients in a range of community settings.
The Team Manager will work towards effective communication with other community services, primary care services, social services and inpatient services among others.
