Clinical Psychologist or CBT therapist

NHS AfC: Band 7

Would you like to work in an organisation that sits in the top 10 best NHS Mental Health, Learning Disability and Community Services Trust  to work for.  This ranking is based on staff feedback in the 2023 NHS Staff Survey.

Job overview

Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist/CBT Therapist?  Do you want to join a thriving Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and expand your leadership skills? If yes, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

This is a great role for both newly qualified clinicians and experienced psychologists to expand on their experience and leadership skills. This is a Part-time role of 30 hours per week.

Our CYPS Community Team Northeast Hampshire are a friendly, innovative and exciting team working with high levels of complexity and risk. You would join a strong multidisciplinary team offering assessments and interventions to children and young people experiencing severe and enduring psychological distress.

Main duties of the job

As part of this role, you will contribute to core CYPS Community Team work, including offering Initial Assessments and Interventions, input to the Clinic Duty System, and offer highly specialist Psychological interventions. Plus, you will have the chance to work towards taking on leadership roles within the Aldershot team, such as being the Routine Outcome Measures Champion.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of specialist evidence-based group interventions using a DBT model and groups that form part of our Trauma Pathway.

Moreover, you will have the chance to consider supervisory roles appropriate to your stage of development. The supervisory responsibilities could be for the undergraduate psychology placement student, an assistant psychologist and potentially a Trainee Clinical Psychologist on placement from the doctoral training course at the University of Surrey.

In addition, the role could provide opportunities within our neurodevelopment team if Autism Spectrum Condition/ADHD was a specialist interest of yours.

Working for our organisation

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is the leading provider of health and social care services for people of all ages with mental ill-health and learning disabilities in Surrey and North East Hampshire. We also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon and ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire.

We actively seek to engage people who use our services and our communities in improving the mental wellbeing of the local population. We work closely with other NHS and voluntary sector organisations who provide services and support people who use services and carers.

Surrey and Hampshire are beautiful counties lying just 30 minutes away from Central London and from the South Coast.

Our historic market towns and bustling districts are enveloped in wonderful countryside, and our excellent road and rail networks bring the rest of the country within easy reach.

For international travel, both Gatwick and Heathrow airports are nearby.

Please note that we reserve the right to close posts as soon as sufficient applications are received.

Working from home contracts do not attract high cost area payments.

We look forward to receiving your application!
