An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Nurse post within our Dermatology Department at the University Hospital of North Midlands. We are on a journey of transformational service redesign to meet the needs of our patients and improve clinical outcomes and quality metrics.
The role of the Clinical practitioner is central to our vision to effect change at pace. This is a key senior nursing appointment to work in close collaboration with lead clinicians to support our vision of a fully integrated Dermatology service. You will provide leadership and management to the specialist nurse team.
The successful candidate will be highly experienced in running nurse led clinics with a track record of clinical expertise and excellence in clinical leadership. You will have the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Extensive Dermatology experience and advanced physical assessment skills are key elements of this role; you will already be a non- medical prescriber. You will be educated to degree level and ideally you will have a master’s qualification or be able to demonstrate master’s level learning.
You will have a passionate commitment to expand and promote nurse led services to enhance the patient experience. A resilient and innovative approach will be key for the successful candidate.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
