Due to a big expansion of work in the Department, an opportunity has become available for a Senior Cardiac Physiologist .

The Heart Centre at UHNM provides tertiary cardiology and cardiothoracic surgical services for over 2 million people across Staffordshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire and South Cheshire, as well as secondary care cardiology for the local population. Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgical provision within UHNM has recently undergone substantial expansion and you will be joining a strong, motivated team. The successful applicant will join the established and prominent consultant, nursing and technical team, and will have every opportunity to participate in continuing development and success of the service
The successful candidate will be someone who is an experienced Physiologist with extensive experience working in the Cath Lab, analysing ambulatory monitoring and Reveal downloads, looking to develop their skills,
Additionally there is an expectation that the successful candidate will hold a minimum of a BSc in a Cardiac Physiology qualification, or equivalent,

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
