Job overview
Due to expansion of the clinical service an exciting and rare opportunity has become available to join the acute pain and vascular access team.
The Acute pain and vascular access team provide specialist knowledge and skills to support patients and staff throughout the trust.
Applicants must be positively driven and willing to strive for the highest clinical standards of patient care.
Applicants must have excellent communication skills, ability to prioritise and manage a patient case load and enjoy the challenge of this complex role.
Main duties of the job
To provide expert clinical care and advice on pain management to patients and the multi-disciplinary team.
To insert PICC , Midlines, Cannulas, manage difficult vascular access and provide expert clinical care and advice of these devices.
Support the provision of specialist education in both specialities across the trust.

Person specification
Desirable
Essential criteria
- RGN with experience within the acute setting
- Experience with cannulation and venepuncture
- Experience with complex pain management such as PCA's and Rectus sheath catheters
Desirable criteria
- Teaching/mentoring experinece
- Evidence of managing a clinical case load

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
