Would you like the opportunity of gaining experience as a clinical pharmacist in a supportive learning environment and optimise medicines for patients? You will join us as a Band 6 progressing through our training programme to a band 7. The complete programme will take between 3 to 4 years depending upon start date in the department, course logistics and your progress.
This post provides the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and knowledge as a band 6 pharmacist progressing to "Rotational" band 7 on the successful completion of foundation training period and demonstration of appropriate competence. A satisfactory review of your portfolio at 18months will result in progression to the SFHT “Rotational Band 7 post” at 21 months.
You will be joining a team of Band 6 Pharmacists who operate an out of hours service from home.

This is a full time post providing an out of hours Pharmacy service via shift working on a rota basis. You will undertake 3 month rotations during normal working hours across a variety of clinical areas.
The development opportunities include support for postgraduate diploma, followed by completion of an independent prescribing qualification when working as a rotational band 7.
If you want to utilise your clinical skills on a daily basis and work in a forward thinking and supportive department then this is the job for you.
This post is open to qualified pharmacists and trainee pharmacists due to join the GPhC register on 1st August 2023.

- Clinical Pharmacy knowledge associated with a Masters degree course (or equivalent experience associated with bachelors degree) and from one year’s training as a Pre Registration Pharmacist prior to professional membership
- Clinical knowledge career to date

- Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council

Contractual requirements

- On call with ability to respond and come on site within 45 minutes using own transport and travel between hospitals using own transport. Able to work flexible hours
