We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

 

Job overview

The North West London (NWL) Children and Adolescent Mental Health services (CAMHS) Provider Collaborative (PC) is a formal partnership between West London NHS Trust (Lead Provider) and Central North and West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL). We are looking to recruit to an initial a Clinical Bed Flow Manager to manage and link with the Patient Flow Service. The scope of the role will initially cover CAMHS T4 inpatient beds, but may also be expanded in the future to include additional clinical specialisms.

The Clinical Bed Flow Manager will be responsible for the oversight of all North West London inpatient beds and to ensure the safe admissions for CAMH’s patients and will take the lead in ensuring that analysis on bed usage, patient flow and demand and capacity for admissions is understood, that data is collated and that trends are mapped and communicated to provider collaborative partners with responsibility for these areas.

Main duties of the job

You will provide management and clinical support and supervision to the Patient Flow Team with a particularly focus on ensuring that you develop excellent communication skills with all inpatient wards, Team Leaders, clinicians and Medical staff where the NWLPC have young people placed. This includes within beds inside and outside the system.

You will be accountable for their decision making and take responsibility for ensuring admissions are made to an appropriate environment with the safety of the patient, carer and staff member as paramount.
