NHS Providers is the membership organisation and trade association for NHS trusts and foundation trusts delivering acute hospital, community, mental health and ambulance services. We support our members to deliver high quality, patient focused care by enabling them to learn from each other, acting as their public voice and helping shape the system in which they operate. NHS Providers has 96% of all NHS Trusts in membership.
This is an opportunity to join our expanding analysis and research team and use your technical expertise to further develop the insights and analysis the team generates. This work will help ensure NHS Providers influences policy and supports members in a robust and evidence based way. You will also lead our member survey programme.
In a typical week in this role you may be asked to work with a member of our policy team to design the questions for a survey, quickly but accurately analyse public NHS data to help with a response to a media enquiry, analyse a different survey and write a member-facing briefing summarising the results, and provide technical support to improve a dashboard.
You will be able to balance technical skills and expertise with excellent communication skills and an ability to work flexibly and independently to help develop the support provided to the organisation by the analysis team. You must also be able to demonstrate an understanding of quantitative and qualitative research techniques, experience of using data to support policy priorities, desk-based research and project management experience. Previous experience of working in the healthcare sector is advantageous but not a requirement.
