Job overview
Soon to be qualifying Occupational Therapist, or already registered? We have a great opportunity to join our community mental health Occupational Therapy team.
We are looking for someone who has an interest in working with those with mental health conditions that have a level of complexity that can not be managed within primary care provision. This offers an opportunity to extend your scope of practise and experience to utilise working with individuals offering meaningful treatment interventions.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of the Occupational Therapy team alongside the wider multidisciplinary locality mental health team, you will be responsible for working with the individual to identify how their current mental health impacts upon their daily functioning, help identify needs and goals, and establish appropriate treatment interventions to support them within their rehabilitation.

What is Staff Bank?
Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.
If you are joining our Trust in a fixed term role, please indicate on your New Starter Paperwork that you wish to join our staff bank.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will be part of the Trust wide Occupational Therapy service provision, which has a strong professional leadership. Offering Band 5 development forum, Trustwide preceptorship and direct professional supervision and management.
You will be part of a small team that deliver a variety of therapeutic interventions, aimed towards helping individuals manage their mental health and support them through their recovery journey.
