Job overview
This is an opportunity for you to further develop your clinical skills working as a Senior Occupational Therapist within the Specialist Mental Health Team (Braintree Mid Essex). You will undertake case management and the delivery of specific Occupational Therapy interventions as required by and determined by the service users needs.
There is a strong professional AHP leadership structure within the organisation, and you will be supported by the OT clinical lead within the locality team. There is a Trust wide Band 6 development forum.
Main duties of the job
You will be working as part of the Occupational Therapy team, supporting the wider multi-disciplinary team., assessing service users making decisions on the level of treatment intervention required. You will have the responsibility for managing a caseload, delivering therapeutic interventions for those with complex mental health needs that cant be managed within primary care provision.

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Occupational Therapy team is developing its focus on delivering recovery focused intervention to those whose needs can not be met within primary care. The successful applicant will be part of a team responsible for the assessment and delivery of occupationally focused intervention supporting those with a complex mental health needs.
