In 2020 the Care Quality Commission (CQC) rated us as ‘Good’ overall, and ‘Outstanding’ for being Caring and Effective. The Conquest Hospital in Hastings and our Community Services were rated ‘Outstanding’ and Eastbourne DGH was rated ‘Good’ Our two acute hospitals have Emergency Departments and provide 24 hour a day care, offering a comprehensive range of surgical, medical, outpatient and maternity services, supported by a full range of diagnostic and therapy services. 


In the summer of 2020, the Trust launched its ambitious ‘Building for our Future’ (BFF) programme. This once in a lifetime programme aims to redevelop and expand our hospitals at Eastbourne, Hastings and Bexhill, transforming the environment in which we provide care for generations to come. 

Job overview

We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible staff who are available to work core hours Monday-Friday.  The roles we have available to fill require a minimum of 22.5 hours per week.

The successful candidates will be adaptable, good with IT, and display excellent team working abilities.

Working on the bank, your roles and responsibilities will vary according to your placement or shifts picked up, giving you the opportunity for a wide variety of experience.

Main duties of the job

These temporary positions can be varied, you have the possibility to cover a wide range of roles including receptionist duties, ward clerk and office-based administration and clerical duties.

As a member of our Temporary Workforce team, you can enjoy the flexibility to work in locations and at hours that suit you, fulfilling a variety of short and longer term roles dependent on your preference and on service needs.

You must have good communication skills and a pleasant telephone manner. Experience of dealing with the public, great keyboard skills and Microsoft Office experience are necessary.
