Job overview

 We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced  qualified Diagnostic Radiographer that is keen to learn and be prepared to be developed to join our radiology team here at Bronglais General Hospital, Aberystwyth.

We provide a quality healthcare service to the population of mid-west Wales, including our local university student population and the many tourists that visit this beautiful area throughout the year.

Applications from suitably motivated and experienced Diagnostic Radiographers, with post qualification NHS experience, are welcome.

This is a rotational post initially through General then on to CT and MRI, depending on experience.  We seek to foster excellence in training and development and will be keen to assist with your professional progression. Specific training in various modalities will be provided for the successful candidates.

We provide an emergency oncall service to the health board with an attractive remuneration and compensatory rest package. Participation would be expected for the successful candidate on a pro rata basis.

Main duties of the job

The Radiology department has 3 x-ray rooms,  CT scanner, MRI scanner, Mammography unit, 4 ultrasound rooms, Dexa scanner and fluoroscopy screening unit.

We are recently undergone an extensive departmental refurbishment and upgrade due to the provision of Welsh Government funding.

Applicants will possess BSc / DCR(R) in Diagnostic Radiography, HCPC registration plus appropriate NHS diagnostic imaging experience.
