Job overview
To provide and assist wherever necessary, a Housekeeping service, maintaining a clean and healthy environment for patients and staff in on ward 2a CCU
To collaborate with the ward sister and ward administrator and to provide housekeeping skills alongside some administrative work
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will need to:
Be able to communicate effectively within the team and with all patients from diverse backgrounds.
Plan and prioritise their workload independently and according to the need of our patients or area.
Have basic computer skills to be able to order stores, equipment and collaborate with the relevant departments.
Liaise with the nursing team and ward manager in order to make sure that equipment is available and within date.
Ensure the ward is clean and clutter free and contribute in the auditing of the environment.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Desirable criteria
- Basic secondary school education.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Basic computer Skills or willing to learn
EXPERIENCE
Desirable criteria
- Previous housekeeper experience (desirable)
- Experience of working within NHS (desirable)
- Experience of working in a team and also on own initiative
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
Essential criteria
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Ability to prioritise work
- Ability to cope with physical aspects of the post including safe lifting and handling techniques
- Awareness and acceptance of the service users and staff

- Flexible approach to working schedules Ability to travel to other Trust sites
