Director of Organisational Development & Workforce

Very Senior Management

Want to be part of our future? Then we want to hear from you.

At Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust we have a simple vision – safe and compassionate care, every time. We are focussed on a programme of continuous quality improvement, listening to our patients and investing in our workforce to deliver an excellent patient experience. As an integrated Trust we provide acute, community and palliative care in people’s homes, from one of our five community hospitals, or two acute hospitals at Stoke Mandeville and Wycombe.

We are committed to providing staff with learning and development opportunities to support their career progression. We also offer on-site subsidised childcare, childcare vouchers, flexible working and a generous pension.

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust has a vision to be one of the safest healthcare systems in the country and a mission to provide safe and compassionate care, every time. We pride ourselves in being a value-based organisation with the people we serve being at the heart of everything we do. We are a highly aspirational organisation; working the BHT way, we want to be known for:

• Excellence in quality
• Being a great place to work
• Leading the way in joining up health and care across Buckinghamshire

We are looking for an inspiring and innovative individual, with the ability to engage staff and external stakeholders and build successful collaborative relationships across the health economy. You will be an exceptional leader, have a track record of delivering transformational change and have the aspiration to develop into a bigger role in the future

This is not a traditional NHS workforce role.

The focus is very much on:

• Workforce planning;
• OD, back office and systems;
• Supporting the CEO with team and board development;
• Talent management and succession planning;
• Culture and values.

This is an opportunity to be the workforce & OD leader in a transformation journey where people make the difference. If you have the vision and leadership skills to help support and transform our patient experience at this critical time by ensuring people are at the heart of everything we do we would welcome an application from you.

If you would like further information about the role, please contact Vicky Adams.

To apply, please email your CV and covering letter to Vicky Adams –
