The role of Receptionist/Clerical Officer is to serve as a contact for patients accessing our services.  We are a small dynamic team providing an excellent service to our patients and staff. You will be working within a small team who enjoy a supportive and friendly working environment, where we encourage participation and learning from one another at all times and focus our efforts towards a patient centred service.

Key experience you will need to apply for the role:

- Previous experience of being an initial point of contact for patients 

- The ability to communicate effectively both via telephone and in person

- Appetite to learn and develop 

- IT literate.

- Previous experience using Medway or other patient administration system is desirable

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The post holder will work within University Hospitals Bristol &  Weston and be responsible for providing a welcoming and efficient service as the patient’s first point of contact with the hospital. This will include greeting and signposting patients and relatives, processing patients using the Patient Administration System and liaising with clinicians and colleagues to facilitate a smooth and timely flow of patients through the department.

  • Previous NHS experience
  • Clerical/administration experience including filing and/or reception
