Job overview

This is a full time post on a busy Haematology /Oncology in patient ward   at The North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre, Bodelwyddan. We deliver Chemotherapy / Radiotherapy to patients from North Wales.

 

 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will gain experience working within the Oncology , Haematology and palliative care field, the post holder will gain in depth knowledge of the management of patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy  treatment as well as skills to promote effective nursing care at the highest of standard

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to rotate within the unit covering the in-patient ward,  Systemic Anti Cancer treatment Unit and  Assessment Unit to gain an in depth knowledge within all the areas, and also complete the Systemic Anti Cancer Therapy administration course. 

This post will primarily be based on Enfys ward
